EVENTS
Shows, Festivals, and Live art experiences.
For Shaggfest X (June 17, 2023), I partnered with Audacy and Live Nation to design and sponsor the festival’s Selfie Wall at the Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater in Virginia Beach.
It was a joy to bring art, interaction, and community together, meeting so many different people and creating a space where everyone could celebrate, connect, and capture memories.

Neighborhood Identifier program in the Vibe Creative District (Virginia Beach)
In 2021, I had the opportunity to collaborate with Virginia Beach’s Vibe Creative District on their Neighborhood Identifier Program. The prompt for the project was “Be a rainbow in someone else’s cloud,” inspired by the timeless words of Maya Angelou.
My installation brought that message forward through bold color and uplifting visuals designed to welcome residents and visitors into the neighborhood. I wanted the piece to feel like a bright moment in someone’s day ,a reminder that creativity and kindness can shift the atmosphere.
This project also led to two separate interviews with the same local news channel, where I shared the inspiration behind the work and its connection to community storytelling. It was a meaningful chance to talk about how public art can bring people together.
Vibe Creative District – Community Fence Murals
My first collaboration with Virginia Beach’s Vibe Creative District was contributing to their beautiful Neighborhood Community Fence Murals , a project designed to bring color, creativity, and new energy to shared public spaces.
For this piece, I focused on creating artwork that felt inviting and uplifting, something that reflected the spirit of the Vibe District itself: artistic, eclectic, and deeply rooted in community. It was an opportunity to add my voice to a collective visual conversation, where each artist’s section worked together to brighten the neighborhood and celebrate local culture.
Being part of this project was truly special because it connected me with other creatives, residents, and visitors who interacted with the mural every day. It was one of the moments that solidified my love for public art ,seeing how a simple fence can become a place of joy, reflection, and community pride.
Norfolk NEON District – Yarn & Crochet Installations (2016–2017)
I designed two custom yarn and crochet installations for the NEON District Festival in 2016 and 2017. Both pieces brought soft texture and bold color to the festival, adding a playful, handcrafted element to the neighborhood.
I was later honored to be featured in the NEON District’s 10-year anniversary publication, recognizing artists who helped shape the district’s creative history.
Stockley Gardens Art Festival – Interactive Installation
I was commissioned by Hope House Foundation in Norfolk, VA , an organization supporting adults with disabilities , to create an interactive public art piece for the Stockley Gardens Art Festival.
The installation was designed to engage visitors, attract more foot traffic to the festival, and help raise funds for a great cause. It was a fun, community-centered project that brought art and purpose together.
Exhibitions & Curated Shows

I have had the pleasure to participate in many exhibitions across  the east coast, sharing work rooted in community and storytelling.
I also created and curated Electric Lady, a mental-health–focused exhibition series for women of color. Each show featured ten additional artists, supported by the Old Dominion University's  Women’s Center and a local Norfolk business, and was even highlighted by local press.

The Artists
Electric Lady is a movement I created to center mental health and women’s empowerment. It began as my vision to build a safe, uplifting space for women to share real conversations about self-care, creativity, and personal growth.
Each exhibition features ten female artists, along with performances, panel discussions, and resources focused on mental health and the advancement of women and communities of color.
Sponsored by the ODU Women’s Center, local businesses and NAMI of Virginia Beach. This exhibition was also highlighted by local press, Electric Lady remains an evolving, community-driven space dedicated to connection, healing, and visibility.
Group Public art projects

I have had the opportunity to contribute to a variety of group public art projects across Hampton Roads Virginia. Each project brings together multiple artists to transform community spaces through creativity and collaboration.
Shown here are some of the projects I contributed to, including my mural with Park Place Community Center and the concept designs I created for sections of Cradock Skate Park.
