Tamika Bright-Stubblefield is a multidisciplinary artist, muralist, and creative educator from Northern Virginia whose work blends public art, illustration, community storytelling, and immersive design. With a background in Human Services and Studio Art, she brings a rare combination of empathy, technique, and cultural insight to every project. For 17 years, Tamika has supported individuals ages 1 to 99 across diverse communities—using art as a tool for connection, empowerment, and emotional wellness
Her public art legacy spans Washington D.C., Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Portsmouth, Alexandria, and beyond, transforming cultural districts, youth spaces, hospitals, and community centers into environments that inspire reflection and belonging. Her work has been highlighted by PBS/NPR/VPM, 13 News Now, WAVY News, WY Daily, and international publications. Known for her refined, intentional, and emotionally resonant style, Tamika continues to cultivate a creative practice rooted in healing, storytelling, and community enrichment.

In 2009, Tamika founded EVOKENATIONS, an art education brand, to harness the healing power of art and creativity. Central to our mission is mental health, we believe art is a transformative tool for wellness, self-expression, and community connection. Through immersive experiences, EVOKENATIONS inspires, educates, and empowers individuals of all ages and abilities, including youth, older adults, and people with diverse abilities, through public art, interactive classes, mentorship, and creative wellness programs for individuals, small groups, and teams.
Tamika also hosts The Whine & Paint Podcast where she interviews different guests while exploring art, creativity, and mental health, extending the reach of EVOKENATIONS beyond the studio and classroom.
